MartBuy is a global e-commerce platform with a groceries-first approach, but it also enables customers to buy any marketable product online. Our mission is to make online shopping fast, reliable, and accessible worldwide, connecting vendors and customers across borders.
We are pre-MVP and seeking a driven technical co-founder to help bring our first version to life. This is an equity-based role, giving you a real stake in a company with global growth potential.
Role Overview
As our Founding Engineer / Co-Founder, you will:
- Build, maintain, and scale the MartBuy MVP (frontend, backend, integrations)
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces
- Make technical decisions and advise on architecture, scalability, and performance
- Contribute to product strategy and provide insights for growth and global expansion
- Work remotely with a flexible, founder-first mindset
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate is:
- Experienced in full-stack or frontend development for e-commerce or marketplace platforms
- Comfortable building and scaling
complex web or mobile applications - Passionate about early-stage startups and equity-based collaboration
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work
independently in a remote environment - Open to long-term collaboration with shared vision and ownership mindset
Equity & Terms
- Equity:
20% maximum, with vesting over 12 months and a 3-month cliff
- Fixed-term contract:
12 months, with potential for long-term co-founder role after MVP/funding
- IP:
All code, designs, and product materials are owned by MartBuy
- Confidentiality:
Strict adherence to company confidentiality policies
