Senior Assembler/Mold Maker\Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada|Hiring Immediately

Position Overview

The position includes; (1) Injection Mold Testing, (2) Molded Fiber BMC Production, (3) CMM Operation, and (4) Injection Molding Prototype/testing and Sample Verification. The position integrates Injection Molding technologies with Molded Fiber activities, verification, data collection and validation operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for adherence to Pactiv safety policies, procedures, critical safety rules and participation in all require safety performance events.
• Responsible for proper operation of IM Machines, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Set up and testing of repaired or new molds in cooperation with Tool Making operations.
• Trouble shooting, mold mechanical, machine injection or plastic processing issues.
• Properly maintains setup/testing schedule with Richmond Hill overall production schedule.
• Supports Richmond Hill production demand as required.
• Verifies wall-stock dimensions through "lead test" verifications & part nominal part dimensional verification reports, in coordination with Engineering.
• Test all Mold actions/systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical
• Maintains all working areas in accordance with Pactiv housekeeping (5S) standards
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance according to the schedule.

Qualifications

• The ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Understand capabilities and processes of all Injection processing equipment.
• Understand plastics processing requirements and parameters.
• Measuring metrology (use and calibration of measuring instruments)
• Set-up and operate support equipment, hand tools, tooling, work holding devices, lifting devices, saws, drilling, grinding, milling, turning, etc.
