Chairside/Uncertified Dental Assistant – Chilliwack Oral Surgery

The Chairside Dental Assistant plays a vital role within our organization. The Chairside Assistant provides critical support to both our surgical team and patients by maintaining an uninterrupted and continuous workflow throughout our facility. This is done by ensuring consult and operatory rooms are turned over and then set up and prepared again for the next patient in a timely fashion. Our continual focus on high quality patient care demands a team that is pleasant, helpful, and eager to be of continual assistance to patients and other colleagues. Job Title: Chairside/Uncertified Dental Assistant

Job Type: Maternity Leave

Pay Rate: $ /hr. based on experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Rapport building skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to contribute/improve team performance
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • General time management skills
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Sterilization and cross-contamination awareness is essential

Duties, Tasks & Accountabilities Responsible for sterilization

  • Stocking of rooms (i.e. equipment and consent forms)
  • Prepares rooms for consults
  • Prepares operatories for procedures
  • Assist in processing of incoming inventory
  • Document preparation for room stocks
  • Provide general support to other CDAs

Essential Credentials, Equipment, & Documentation High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification

  • Some medical and/or dental experience (preferred)
  • Scrubs (provided following hire decision and completion of probationary period)
  • Radiology certification (preferred but not necessary)
