We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Superintendent to oversee and manage diverse commercial construction projects from inception to successful completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in site supervision, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Site Superintendent is key to our operation, responsible for coordinating all site activities, supervising staff, and effectively liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
The Site Superintendent will be responsible for a comprehensive range of activities, including:
- Project Oversight: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Hands-On Work: Execute necessary hands-on tasks, such as carpentry, drywall patching, and paint touch-ups, to maintain project flow and quality.
- Schedule Management: Manage and drive project schedules and timelines directly at the site level.
- Coordination: Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of all materials and services.
- Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and confirm compliance with project blueprints and schematics.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain an accurate site daily log.
- Communication: Facilitate effective and transparent communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and specifications.
- Leadership: Train and supervise on-site staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Experience & Requirements
Essential Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the commercial construction industry.
Security & Travel
- Reliability Security Clearance Qualified:
- Must have no criminal records.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen (living in Canada for a minimum of 5 years).
- Must possess a Valid BC Driver's License.
- Available to travel on own vehicle to various job-sites, suppliers, etc.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, estimating, blueprint reading, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
- Effective communication skills for clear collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $9,000.00-$11,000.00 per month
