Our client, a well-established and respected food manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment runs safely and efficiently. Position Highlights:

  • Monday to Friday, Day Shift *flexibility required. 
  • $115K–$125K base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonus + Overtime available

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff (Level 1-5, Stationary Engineers Class 2 & 4).
  • Mentor technicians and operators, ensuring efficient troubleshooting of mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on critical equipment (boilers, refrigeration, rendering machinery).
  • Oversee the preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP).
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and manage inventory.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OHSA and WHMIS regulations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions and resolve equipment-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management in a food manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, and centrifugal equipment (e.g., rendering equipment, pumps, conveyors) an asset. 
  • Refrigeration B Ticket (preferred), Ontario Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A) Certificate (asset).
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, food safety, and regulatory standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP, OHSA, WHMIS).
  • Tow Motor License (preferred).
