Job Overview

Need to be able to work until 1:30AM. The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring that all food handling practices meet safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment and committed to providing excellent service.

Duties

  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Ensure that all food handling procedures are followed according to health and safety regulations.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
  • Clean workstations and dining areas to provide a safe and hygienic environment for staff and guests.
  • Support the team during busy service periods by helping with food service tasks as required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn food preparation techniques is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are crucial for success in this role.
