Department Overview:

Specialized Reporting & Solutions Management (SRSM) Group is responsible for specialized financial and regulatory including OSFI, CDIC and CIRO requirements for selected businesses, selected Canadian regulated subsidiaries and Consolidated Bank.

Job Description:

To conduct a range of financial analysis and provide operational support as it relates to TD Securities Funding and Institutional Equities trading desks including:

  • Prepare TDSI daily funding requirements by calculating the funds available to be loaned out or needed to be borrowed from TD Bank.  Compile daily funding balances for Structured Finance (EQD) and Credit Structured Group (CSG).  Request funding via TD Bank funding desk.
  • Reconcile daily funding settlement for TDSI (including Structured Finance and Credit Structured Group) with TD Waterhouse.
  • Reconcile funding settlement with Structured Finance against ISM.
  • Calculate the monthly interest owed to or from TD Waterhouse on overnight settled balances.
  • Manage the Provider of Capital file to calculate TDSI's net exposure to TD Bank and support regulatory compliance.
  • Acquire and maintain full cross-training on FX exposure monitoring and P&L calculation, new issues margin calculation, and other key desk functions to provide effective vacation coverage and ensure operational continuity.

Job Requirements:

  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. advanced formulae, vlookup and pivot table) is a must.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. 
  • Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income products, derivatives). 
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical capability. 
  • Clearly demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills.  Able to work efficiently with our business partners.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.  Able to manage multiple deadlines within a highly demanding environment.
  • Ability to effectively handle and respond to various ad hoc requests.
  • Excellent team player

Education and Accreditation

  • University education is required
  • Degree in finance or accounting preferred
