REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Enforcement Services
LOCATION: Initial Placement – Burford Administration Office
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform general duties of a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to assist with day to day operations during the summer season.
- Assist the Division with By-law Enforcement pertaining to the increased usage of facilities and parking.
- Maintain public compliance of Municipal By-Laws via education, compliance and enforcement.
- Assist with river access point inspections, dog licensing compliance, parking enforcement, watering restrictions, noise complaints and other duties as assigned.
- Receive and document complaints.
- Microsoft Office (Including Word & Excel)
- Portable Radio
- Body worn camera
- Motor vehicle
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- General law enforcement knowledge.
- Knowledge of Provincial Offence Act.
- Ability to maintain clear, accurate records of work undertaken.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and acceptable Driver's Abstract required.
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Records check.
Duration: May to August (35 hours/week - days, evenings & weekend work required)

You must be enrolled in a post-secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for these positions, with the exception of completing a final co-op term.
