Position Summary

This position will provide clerical support for the Nutrition Supervisors and Registered Dietitians in all three homes. The position encompasses both clinical nutrition and foodservice production. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Nutrition:


• Update diet lists, nourishment lists, and production sheets.


• Edit changes in the menu system and recipe books.


• Perform meal audits.


• Complete and summarize meal satisfaction surveys.


• Attend and assist with special functions as planned. 

Registered Dietitian:


• Assist with new move-in assessments, develop in-services for staff and attend interdisciplinary meetings.


• Review referrals and quarterly assessments alongside Registered Dietitian and update nutrition profiles. 

General:


• Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed


• Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.

Credentials Required

Minimum Formal Education


• Enrolment in a nutrition and dietetics program at a recognized University or College.

Experience


• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications are required. 

Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria, which specifies that students must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age

• Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year

• Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

• Legally entitled to work in Canada

• Will not have another full-time job
