Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead the turf management and maintenance operations of our golf course. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who takes pride in course presentation, sustainability, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily golf course maintenance and agronomic practices.
  • Manage and supervise grounds crew, including scheduling, training, and performance.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems, turf equipment, and facilities.
  • Monitor turf health, pest control, and weather conditions to ensure optimal playability.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on long-term improvements and capital projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in Turfgrass Management or related field.
  • Experience in golf course maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cool-season turfgrass management.
  • Valid Alberta Pesticide Applicator's License or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of irrigation systems (Toro Sprinklers knowledge an asset).
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of turf equipment maintenance.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ideal candidate is strong in irrigation and pumphouse knowledge and has skid steer experience.
