Mandatory Requirement

Applicants must have hands-on experience filing Canadian T1 and T2 tax returns. Applications without this experience will not be considered.

This is a senior-level role and is not suitable for entry-level or first-time tax preparers.

  • Experienced preparers comfortable supervising staff and office workflow

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Canadian T1, T2, and Trust tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act and maximize client outcomes
  • Supervise junior staff and manage day-to-day office operations
  • Handle CRA audits, reviews, adjustments, and e-filing
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and professional standards
  • Familiarity with investment strategies and related financial planning is a plus

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of Canadian tax preparation experience
  • Mandatory hands-on experience filing T1 and T2 returns is a strong asset
  • CPA designation preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and manage staff
  • Strong organizational and client communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, with experience using tax preparation software (TaxCycle preferred)

Compensation & Opportunity

Compensation is based on experience and ability to work independently.

Strong performers may be offered additional hours, flexible scheduling, and extended seasonal or year-round opportunities.

Schedule

  • Seasonal: February to May
  • Possibility of extension to year-round employment
  • Day shift | Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • In-office position

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 4-5 months

Pay: $17.60-$26.00 per hour
