This year marks the 123rd Science Formal. Originally a simple dance, Sci Formal has evolved into a breathtaking display of engineering, creativity, and teamwork, all brought to life by the graduating class. This event represents the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, where students showcase the skills, they've honed throughout their time at Queen's University.
We are currently hiring our members for all portfolios All member positions report to a Sci Formal Chair. You can learn more about the open positions below.
Finance Portfolio
Sponsorship Member (1 Position Available)
As the Sponsorship Member, you will be responsible for securing sponsorships from corporations and maintaining strong relationships with sponsors. You will distribute sponsorship packages, ensure that sponsor needs are met, and collaborate with the Finance Team to minimize ticket prices.

Logistics Portfolio
Entertainment Member (1 Position Available)
As the Entertainment Member, you will responsible for coordinating all of the entertainment for the event. This includes finding a band and a DJ for the event, and being the first point of contact with them. You will also be a main point of contact between Sci Formal and the A/V company.
Sustainability and Wellness Member (1 Position Available)
As the Sustainability and Wellness member, you will be responsible for ensuring that Sci Formal is planned with sustainability in mind. This will include ensuring the art and construction members use sustainable materials when possible, applying for sustainability grants, and ensuring proper disposal methods are in place. You will also be tasked with finding ways to improve/maintain the quality of life of the team, especially during high stress periods.

Communications Portfolio
Marketing Member (1 Position Available)
As the Marketing Member, you will be responsible for the Sci Formal social media pages, and will be making posts to advertise the event throughout the year. You will also be responsible for finding alternative ways to advertise Sci Formal and spread the word to the entire graduating year.

Art Portfolio
Art Member (4 Positions Available)
As an art member you will be responsible for coming up with a design for one section of Grant Hall. This will include making initial designs, material lists, and then finally coordinating the painting of your specific section. DRAWING SKILLS NOT REQUIRED: All that you need is creativity
