Architect & Design Representative

Formations Inc. is a privately owned wholesale distributor and manufacturer of non-structural wood products and accessories, serving the woodworking community, designers, and architects. As an Architect & Design Representative, you'll be the creative bridge between design and distribution - building relationships, sharing knowledge, and helping design professionals bring their visions to life with Formations' products.

What You'll be Doing:

• Connect & Create: Build meaningful relationships with architects, designers, builders, and contractors. Be their go-to partner for ideas, product insights, and project inspiration.
• Inspire Through Knowledge: Host Lunch & Learns, CEU sessions, and product presentations that make people fall in love with our materials (and maybe your presentation style too).
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep a pulse on what's hot (and what's next) in the design world, from materials and finishes to sustainability standards like LEED and Greenguard.
• Lead the Conversation: Represent Formations at trade shows, design expos, and networking events. You'll be the friendly face that keeps our brand top-of-mind in the A&D community.
• Keep It Organized: Manage your CRM like a pro - logging leads, tracking projects, and keeping the team up to speed on upcoming opportunities.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Territory Sales Managers and Branch Managers to bring projects from concept to completion.
• Make it Look Good: Maintain designer libraries, keep samples fresh, and make sure our displays and product boards always look "Pinterest-worthy."

What You Bring:

• 2+ years working within or alongside the Architecture & Design (A&D) community.
• A background in Interior Design or a related field, you know the language of design.
• A love for relationship building, creative collaboration, and seeing projects come to life.
• Solid understanding of the specification process and how products influence design outcomes.
• Confidence presenting in front of a crowd (or a small studio team).
• Organizational skills that make juggling multiple projects look easy.
• Tech-savvy with CRM tools, presentation software, and a flair for visual storytelling.
• Must have: A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle - you'll be on the road up to 50% of the time connecting with design studios and project sites
