Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring project budgets are maintained throughout the construction process. This role requires strong negotiation skills, project management expertise, and proficiency with industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction estimating, pricing, and overall construction management to support the successful delivery of projects.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects using HeavyBid and other estimating tools.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze project drawings and specifications utilizing Bluebeam.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle to identify potential overruns or savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate project timelines and cost forecasts.
- Assist in procurement processes by preparing bid packages and evaluating bids received.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Provide guidance on construction pricing strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction estimating or project management software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Excellent project management capabilities with a focus on budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,278.90-$142,813.14 per year
