Job Summary

Grain&Bowls is seeking a full-time Information Systems Analyst to support the design, development, testing and maintenance of our information systems and IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will analyze business requirements, optimize internal processes, enhance system performance, and ensure our systems meet security, quality, and compliance standards.This role is essential to the ongoing improvement and stability of our organization's IT systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The employee will perform the following duties

1. Systems Analysis & Design

Analyze, design, develop, test, implement and oversee information systems used across the organization.Evaluate current IT systems and internal processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Collect and analyze operational and technical data to support system enhancements and infrastructure upgrades.

2. Systems Development & Implementation

Design and develop new information systems and tools to improve data collection, organization and distribution.Recommend solutions to enhance network performance, system reliability and database security.Ensure new and existing systems are aligned with business requirements and organizational goals.

3. Quality Assurance & Testing

Develop and execute quality assurance procedures for new software, system updates and integrations.Identify, document and track system issues, discrepancies, and defects, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Oversee testing activities to validate reliability, security and performance of IT systems.

4. Policies, Procedures & Compliance

Develop, implement and update IT policies and procedures across the full system lifecycle.Ensure all systems meet organizational standards, user needs, and legal/ethical requirements (security, privacy, compliance).Document system changes, configurations, and technical specifications.

5. System Maintenance & Support

Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computers and system components to minimize downtime.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and support upgrades or enhancements.Ensure the protection and integrity of data stored in organizational systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, information systems development, or IT infrastructure management.Knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC), IT security standards, and QA methodologies.Experience with databases, network systems, documentation, and system testing.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
