Job Summary
BCSI Investigations Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Surveillance Private Investigator to conduct field surveillance and gather factual, objective information for investigative cases. The ideal candidate is observant, discreet, self-motivated, and able to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mobile and stationary surveillance in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Observe, document, and accurately report activities relevant to assigned investigations.
- Capture clear photographic and video evidence while maintaining discretion.
- Prepare detailed written reports, including timelines, observations, and supporting evidence.
- Maintain communication with case managers regarding progress and findings.
- Operate surveillance equipment and vehicles safely and effectively.
- Adapt to changing environments and case requirements in real time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Private Investigator Under Supervision License (or in the process).
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong observational, analytical, and note-taking skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to remain patient, alert, and focused for extended periods.
- Familiarity with smartphones, cameras, and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in surveillance, investigations, law enforcement, military, or security.
- Private investigator license or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and evidence handling.
- Experience writing professional investigative reports.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to sit or remain stationary for long periods.
- Ability to walk, stand, and drive for extended durations.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments.

- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Comply with all federal, provincial, and local laws governing investigations.
