The
Marketing Assistant
will support the ongoing delivery and maintenance of marketing initiatives during a one-year term contract, with the potential for extension. This part-time role provides support across digital, print, and social media channels, maintaining campaigns, updating content, and offering administrative assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. With a key focus of the role is leveraging AI tools to enhance marketing workflows, content creation, and data-driven insights.

This position is a one-year contract with the intention of transitioning into a permanent role. The
Marketing Assistant
will work a flexible part-time schedule of 20–30 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing content across the website, social media, email, and print platforms.
  • Support the coordination of promotional and recruitment activities, events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing department, including tracking expenditures, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  • Help ensure marketing materials align with brand standards and assist with graphic design, photography, and video production needs.
  • Monitor social media and website content, escalating issues or requests as needed.
  • Apply AI tools and platforms to support marketing strategies, content generation, and workflow efficiency.

Education:

  • Diploma, certificate, or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok).
  • Experience with web-based content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar) considered an asset.
  • Experience with graphic design or content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) considered an asset.

Experience:

  • Previous work or internship experience in a marketing, communications, or administrative role preferred.
  • Experience in educational or non-profit environments is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools or platforms to support marketing, content creation, or workflow optimization.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Strong adaptability and AI fluency to support both marketing and administrative functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with social media management, graphic design, photography, and video production tools.

Base Salary:
$ per hour

  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill set.
