About the Role:
We're looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive part-time and/or contractor Legal Assistant to support our growing team. This role is perfect for a student or someone looking to gain experience in a professional legal environment while earning extra income. You'll assist with administrative tasks, legal document management, and client support — all in a friendly, collaborative workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist CEO with preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents (contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions).
- Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings.
- Organize and maintain case files, both digital and paper.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and colleagues.
- Manage and maintain the registries and Minute Books
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ideal for someone who is currently studying or recently completed a degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Administration, or related field (students encouraged to apply).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous legal experience is a plus.
