Overview

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Meal Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional service, engaging with diverse customers, and promoting our food offerings. This role involves assisting customers with menu selections, conducting product demos, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support sales goals. The Meal Advisor position offers an engaging environment where communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for food service are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their dining experience
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients and nutritional information
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase menu items and promote new offerings
  • Upsell additional menu items or beverages to maximize sales opportunities
  • Manage cashiering duties including POS transactions, cash handling, and processing payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area and display merchandise effectively
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Support merchandising efforts by restocking items and organizing displays for visual appeal
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy

Requirements

  • Multilingual abilities are a plus; fluency in English is required
  • Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or food service is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Bilingual proficiency is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
