Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with medication dispensing, patient interactions, and administrative tasks within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings is preferred, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration processes. Duties

  • Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
  • Manage inventory by restocking shelves and verifying medication supplies
  • Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety and cleanliness standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth medication distribution and patient service
  • Cleaning

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and data entry
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and support within a healthcare environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$28.31 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
