Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Voice Engineer to support global DOD NOC operations located in Scott AFB, IL. This role is part of a long-standing contract and offers growth opportunities for engineers eager to deepen their expertise in voice infrastructure and secure network operations. The Enterprise Voice Engineer will bring a solid foundation in routing and switching (Layer 2/3), strong Cisco experience, and a genuine interest in expanding into voice technologies .

Responsibilities for the Enterprise Voice Engineer include:

• Support and sustain voice network backbone - maintain and troubleshoot secure IP voice infrastructure across Juniper and Cisco platforms, ensuring high availability and performance
• Routing, switching, and network operations - implement and optimize layer 2/3 configurations, monitor traffic flow, and resolve network anomalies across voice and data environments
• Voice protocols and SBC integration - work with SIP, SBCs, and trunking protocols to support secure voice traffic. Exposure to Ribbon or Oracle platforms is helpful but not required.
• Firewall & security protocols - support distributed firewall configurations and secure voice routing sin SRTP, IPSec, and BGP
• Monitoring and troubleshooting - use tools like SolarWinds and OCOM (Oracle Communications Operations Monitor)_ to proactively identify and resolve performance issues
• Documentation and change management - maintain technical documentation, validate configuration changes, and participate in lifecycle upgrades and capacity planning
• Cross-team collaboration - coordinate with NOC, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with DOD protocols and operations standards

Required Qualifications for the Enterprise Voice Engineer include:

• Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, Master's with less than 2 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong Layer 3 Networking Expertise - soldi Cisco experience required, Juniper exposure preferred but not mandatory (training resources provided)
• Interest or experience in voice technologies - prior exposure to SIP, SCs, or voice routing is a plus
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification ( Sec+, CySA+, GIAC, GSEC, GICSP, CND, ISC SSCP, SSCP )
• Active TS/SCI Clearance

Compensation for the Enterprise Voice Engineer include:

• Salary: $62,000-65,000 **depending on experience**
