Career Opportunity: Floor Covering Installer (Subcontractor)

Where: Thunder Bay, ON

Type: Contractor

When: Weekdays and weekends (overtime as required)

Our End of the Roll Thunder Bay location is currently seeking experienced floor layers to join their busy team. Ideally the floor laying contractor will be well-trained in the installation of the following:

  • Floor preparation, levelling, patching, and wood subfloor installation.
  • Resilient sheet, plank, and tile.
  • Laminate and click vinyl plank.
  • Carpet and carpet tiles.
  • Resilient wall base.
  • Tile setting experience is an asset.
  • Red Seal Journeyman tickets an asset.

What we need from you:

  • Must have WCB coverage, be active and in good standing, and be able to provide a Clearance Certificate/Letter.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Clean driving record and criminal record required.
  • Must be able to lift/carry excess of 50lbs and occasionally lift an excess of 100lbs.
  • Must have your own tools and vehicle.
  • Must provide invoices on each job performed (pay will be based on a per-job basis).
  • Must be able to provide references.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
