Reporting to the Executive Director, Marketing & Communications and working in collaboration with the Executive Producer of OCAD U LiVE, the Production Coordinator oversees the OCAD U LIVE creator studio and production house projects. The Production Coordinator also oversees the creation of social media videos based on work done and support day to day tasks for the OCAD U LiVE channel.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee OCAD U LIVE content creator studio and production house
  • Distribute schedules or call sheets, and setup attend production meetings
  • Support the hiring of talent and crew for all productions
  • Support with securing filming locations, purchasing equipment and sourcing supplies needed for all productions
  • Assist cast and crew members on set with various requests and tasks
  • Complete tasks requested by the production office and other departments involved in the production
  • Assist with budget tracking/management and support with reconciling accounts and expenses related to the production
  • Respond to production related inquiries and document intake
  • Organize relevant insurance coverage as needed
  • Working with the partners through the production house on all hired projects.
  • Support day-to-day tasks for the OCAD U LiVE channel based on needs outlined by the OCAD U LiVE Executive Producer
  • Support the Executive Director, Marketing & Communications and M&C staff in other related duties that contribute to the successful operations of M&C's marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working with in a video production environment and on production sets
  • Strong attention to detail with a task-oriented approach
  • Experience with creating call sheets and other relevant production documents
  • Experience working with a production budget is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with youth communities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and participate collaboratively in team environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, with ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity and diversity, and experience promoting a respectful work and learning environment for students, staff and faculty

Compensation:OPSEU Unit I, Appendix A, Grade A4; $57,486.45 to $75,566.13 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, for a total of 35 hours per week.
