Part-time Relief Staff relieve Full-time Civilian positions as required, including but not limited to 12 Hour Shift Clerks, 911 Police Communicators, and general clerical assignments.  This position is shift work.

Essential Duties of the position are transcribing reports, data input computer systems, relieving 911 Police Communicators.  Other critical standards of performance include:

Transcribing and entering data on RMS/Niche computer system reports received by dictation or in hard copy.Assisting with Wash & Bail Court arrest sheets as required.Assisting with entering arrest sheets onto RMS Niche as required.Ensuring reports necessary for bail court are transcribed as required.Accessing CPIC and RMS/Niche systems for general queries.  Updating, removing and correcting Niche information requiring maintenance.Accessing manual files and providing copies of reports or original documents such as probation orders, warrants for arrest and release documents.Proofreading of transcribed report, correcting where necessary errors in grammar, spelling and content to ensure accuracy and completeness.Contacting Duty Staff Sergeant during evening shift concerning any equipment failures and dictation system down time.Assisting with training of new staff as it relates to the data entry function.Performing general office duties such as typing, filing, document retrieval and distribution, telephone and public inquiries.Relieving in other areas of the Service as required if trained.Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
