Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven, dynamic, and highly motivated Computer Hardware and Software
Sales Manager to lead and drive the sales efforts for our comprehensive portfolio of hardware and
software solutions. This individual will oversee a sales team, develop sales strategies, manage customer
relationships, and achieve revenue targets by delivering tailored solutions to both existing and
prospective clients. The Sales Manager will work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to
ensure customer satisfaction and company growth.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for both computer hardware and software products. Set and achieve sales targets, ensuring the team meets or exceeds KPIs and revenue goals.
- Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, ensuring high performance, training, and professional development.
- Track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management on revenue, pipeline, and growth opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in existing accounts while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Develop new business opportunities and foster long-term relationships with prospective clients.
- Provide technical expertise and consultative sales approaches to clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and new product developments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for hardware and software solutions, advising customers on the best products to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure offerings are aligned with customer needs.
- Sales Cycle & Negotiation:
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals
and post-sale support.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while maintaining profitability
and long-term business relationships.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, support, engineering) to ensure smooth
delivery and customer satisfaction post-sale.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify potential growth areas.
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, forecasting, and market conditions.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and create strategies to capitalize on them.
- Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support) to drive product and service enhancements based on customer needs and feedback.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to align on business goals, forecasts, and resource requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in computer hardware/software sales, with at least 2-3 years in a sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a sales team and achieving or exceeding sales targets in a technology-driven environment.
- Experience selling both hardware (e.g., servers, workstations, peripherals) and software (e.g., enterprise software, SaaS, cloud solutions).
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and sales performance analytics tools.
- Knowledge of the technology industry and evolving hardware/software trends.
- Ability to analyze complex customer requirements and recommend solutions.
- Certifications (preferred, but not required):
- Sales or technical certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, or similar certifications) would be a plus.
