Accounts Payable Specialist

$60,000- $65,000 with bonus and benefits

Mississauga, ON (In- office)

Our client is a highly recognized homebuilder that is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a temporary contract. Based in Mississauga, this is an excellent opportunity to work with a continuously growing organization that has exciting plans for the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match invoices, validate coding, and enter data into the JD Edwards (JDE) system
  • Ensure precise and efficient data entry while following established processes
  • Follow up with management and department staff regarding overdue invoices and approval requests
  • Generate AP reports in JDE and process EDI and cheque payments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounts payable activities
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • File processed invoices and supporting documentation accurately
  • Provide support with other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards is an asset
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
