What you will do
Contributes to the operation of the department's parks and recreation programs by performing work and adhering to technical and municipal standards.
Assists with the organization of summer programs, events and day camps.
- Helps with set up and cleanup.
Provides supervision to participants at day camps.
Adheres to guidelines as set out in Leduc County's policies and administrative directives.
- Accountable for working in compliance with the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code and participation in the Health, Safety and Wellness Program.
- Performs related duties as required and assigned.
What you need to succeed
Must-have
- Enrollment or completion of a high school diploma.
- Standard First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certification (or willing to obtain).
- Criminal records check – vulnerable sector.
- A service focus with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment and provide consistent, friendly, professional customer service.
Nice to have
- Child Care or babysitting certificate.
- Recreation volunteer experience.

We offer a competitive hourly salary of between $19.81 and $25.49.
The opportunity is seasonal full-time and is 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, with a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional work on evenings and weekends. The office is located at St. Nisku, AB.
