We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Duties

• Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
• Handle food ingredients safely, adhering to all food handling and safety regulations
• Assist in meal preparation, including cutting, rolling, and packaging sushi items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and storage areas
• Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in quality
• Serve customers directly or assist with sushi orders as needed
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate supply needs to management
• Ensure all food served is fresh, safe, and of high quality

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service, especially in sushi or Japanese cuisine, is beneficial
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Kitchen experience within the food industry is advantageous
• Familiarity with restaurant operations and food industry standards is desirable
• Passion for culinary arts and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
