Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dental Ceramist to join our dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and other prosthetic devices. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental materials and techniques. Experience with CAD software and laboratory procedures is highly valued. The Dental Ceramist will work closely with dental professionals to deliver restorations that meet both aesthetic and functional standards, ensuring patient satisfaction and optimal outcomes.

Duties

  • Fabricate dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, and dentures based on detailed specifications provided by dentists
  • Utilize CAD/CAM technology to design and produce accurate prosthetic components
  • Prepare and finish restorations through layering, staining, glazing, and polishing to achieve natural aesthetics
  • Collaborate with dental office staff to interpret prescriptions and ensure restorations meet clinical requirements
  • Maintain precise records of work performed and materials used in each case
  • Ensure all laboratory work adheres to industry standards for quality control and safety
  • Keep the laboratory environment organized and stocked with necessary materials and tools
  • Stay updated on new techniques, materials, and advancements in dental technology

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing dental restorations
  • Prior experience working in a dental laboratory or similar setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
  • Laboratory experience with various dental materials such as porcelain, composites, and ceramics
  • Familiarity with dental assisting practices is a plus for understanding clinical workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently
