Senior Director- Tribe Lead

Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Director- Tribe Lead / Group Product Manager focused on AI & Innovation based out of our Toronto office.

About the Team

Ratings Workflow Solutions (RWS), part of the Ratings COO organization, is a cross-functional, agile team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing applications and workflows used by our Ratings staff. Our goal is to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and advance standardization and automation across Fitch's ratings platforms and workflows.  The team partners closely with analytical, business, and technology staff to ensure our systems support the needs of the Ratings organization and enable our staff to work effectively.

The ideal candidate brings strategic AI product leadership and is passionate about driving a strategic vision, fostering collaboration, and delivering tangible business value through innovation. They will bring strong leadership skills, proven experience leading cross-functional teams, and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.  This individual will work collaboratively within a matrixed organization of operations and technology staff and will serve as a crucial link between analytical groups, technology teams, and product owners to ensure the successful delivery of key outcomes.  Excellent communication, change leadership, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

• Strategic Leadership: Set and communicate a bold, inspiring strategy for the Tribe, ensuring clear alignment with Fitch Ratings' priorities and the needs of our stakeholders.
• Innovation Mindset: Foster experimentation while maintaining production reliability
• Change Champion: Proven ability to drive organizational change and technology adoption across diverse stakeholder groups
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage multiple Product Owners and their respective squads.
• Coordination and Alignment: Ensure organizational alignment by coordinating with stakeholders and IT partners and maintaining a clear understanding of the roadmap across all squads.  Support Squads in identifying dependencies and other execution risks.
• Communication & Priority Setting: Establish and communicate Tribe priorities, focusing on executive-level messaging, including metrics (KPIs and OKRs) and outcomes.
• Delivery Oversight: Oversee the Tribe's quarterly delivery, ensuring that all squads meet their goals and deliver business value.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a senior point of contact for senior management and stakeholders.  Establish strong and collaborative relationships with senior managers to understand their teams' priorities and capabilities.
• Resource Management: Work with IT partners to allocate resources effectively across squads to ensure optimal delivery and address any resource constraints.

You May be a Good Fit if:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in product ownership or product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple teams.
• Experience scaling AI/ML products from POC to launch
• Strong Agile practitioner with Agile certification
• Proven track record of strategic planning and delivering workflow solutions at scale
• Proficiency in Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
