Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication management, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations within our facility. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to improved patient outcomes through expert pharmaceutical services.

Duties

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and safety regulations
  • Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including usage instructions and potential side effects
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans for patient populations
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatments as necessary in coordination with medical staff
  • Maintain detailed and accurate pharmacy records, including medication inventories and patient profiles
  • Oversee the preparation of compounded medications when required
  • Participate in the pharmacy vaccination program

Qualifications

  • Valid pharmacist license in Ontario and in good standing with OCP
  • Korean or Tagalog is a strong asset as a second language
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care standards
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education
  • Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and manage complex medication regimens
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, confidentiality, and professional ethics

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $48.00-$58.00 per hour
