Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, restaurant operations, and guest services, ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers. This position offers opportunities to develop skills in food safety, cashiering, and hospitality within a dynamic food industry setting.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems and process transactions efficiently through cash handling and cashiering.
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner, demonstrating excellent guest services skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during busy periods while upholding high service standards.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
  • Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food safety practices during food handling and preparation.
  • Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times to meet health department standards.

Skills

  • Experience with POS systems, for efficient order processing and cash handling.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, including food preparation and serving roles.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with hospitality principles, guest services, and upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the food service industry who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
