Akelius is seeking an energetic self-motivated Construction Manager to join a fast paced growing team.

The selected candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects at one time in various construction phases,
and to meet established goals on schedule, quality and budget.

The Construction Manager's primary focus will be on the specific needs of the project, residents, vendors, and contractors.
They will also be required to track project financials and schedule and report the progress status regularly.
 

manage multiple residential suite renovations initiate projects from the concept stage and manage to completionevaluate suite plans and site conditions, and offer recommendations on optimal functionality and value define scope, review quotes, negotiate and award contractscoordinate and collaborate with contractors, third party externals and internal team members effectively manage all renovation projects for the allocated portion of the city's portfolio monitor and communicate schedule for successful delivery of projects on timeperform regular site reviews to ensure completed suite meets the Akelius quality expectations and budgetsadvise on budget, track project costs and provide recommendations provide supervisors with updates on quality, schedule and budgetadministers vendor payment approvals and project close out processcommunicate to team members project progressother duties as assignedwho you arethree or four year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant field, at an accredited university or collegeone to three years' experience in this type of roleexceptional written and verbal communication skills solid knowledge of blueprint reading, construction installation techniques and the Ontario Building Codeproficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Revu, etc.valid driver's license and ability to driveclean criminal background  about Akelius
