We are searching for a Building Operator to join our Parkland on Eglinton West team based in Etobicoke, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

Monitors and maintains building engineering according to established standards and preventative maintenance schedulesSchedules maintenance of the building systems to maintain the integrity of the facility, not limited to boiler systems, pumps, ventilation systems, plumbing, water and sewage systems, the Energy Management System (EMS) and other building componentsCompletes repairs according to established standardsPerforms miscellaneous minor repairs such but not limited to, changing light bulbs in the common areas and amenity spaces, patching holes in walls, and painting, changing air conditioning filters, washing the common area carpets, building systemsProvides service that is in accordance with organizational standardsEnsures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

A High School Diploma or completion of equivalent education1-2 years' experience in construction or building maintenanceKnowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislationAdvanced Proficiency in English required, other languages considered an assetYou can provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screeningA passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.Ability to use measuring tools, power tools Enters and locates work-related information using computers maintenance management systems. Displays a working knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing trade.
