Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Snow Shoveler to assist with snow removal during winter months. This role involves clearing pathways, driveways, and other outdoor areas to ensure safety and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have experience with various tools and equipment, and a strong work ethic to handle outdoor winter conditions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Shovel snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and entrances using hand tools and power tools
- Operate equipment such as snow blowers or backpack blower when necessary
- Apply ice melt or salt to prevent ice formation and improve safety
- Collaborate with landscaping or maintenance teams for comprehensive property upkeep during winter
- Ensure all cleared areas are safe for pedestrians and vehicles, adhering to safety standards
Skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or snow blowers
- Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment
- Knowledge of construction or outdoor maintenance practices is beneficial
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to safety protocols and ability to operate mechanical equipment responsibly
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 60 per week
Work Location: In person
