Role Overview

Aeroex is hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support new product development, mechanical design, product testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants exposure to real manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and the full engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mechanical designs and assemblies in SolidWorks
  • Produce manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Support prototype builds, testing, airflow measurements, and performance validation
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with senior engineers
  • Assist in developing new filtration products and custom engineered solutions
  • Work closely with production to implement design changes and resolve technical issues
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis (tolerances, stress, airflow, etc.)
  • Research materials, components, and design options for ongoing product improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings required)
  • 0–3 years of mechanical design experience (internships and projects count)
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical fundamentals
  • Ability to produce clean, accurate drawings suitable for fabrication
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sheet metal design, welded assemblies, or industrial equipment
  • Exposure to mist collection, air filtration, HVAC, or fluid/airflow systems
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
