Position Summary

This position is needed to effectively manage and coordinate a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary research laboratory.

Responsibilities

The Research Staff Assistant will perform standardized lab tasks such as:

  • Maintain strong relationships between the Cornish laboratory and their collaborators.
  • Assist the PI in overseeing all group members.
  • Support the translation of technologies developed in the Cornish laboratory to other academic, clinical, and industrial settings, including making materials available. 
  • Provide general laboratory support including but not limited to maintaining databases and inventory for the laboratory. 
  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a scientific discipline. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a research environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1.5 year of experience in a research environment, excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in team management and operations
