Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering patient relationships. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
  • Manage patient records using dental software
  • Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients
  • Handle administrative tasks related to patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and billing as needed
  • Ensure accurate communication of medical terminology and treatment plans to patients
  • Support the dental team with inventory management of supplies and materials

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including children
  • Strong organizational skills for managing patient records and clinical supplies
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures within the dental field
