As a Parts Specialist -- Customer Equipment Solutions (CES) at United Rentals, you will support the branch or District CES program by assisting CES Service Technicians acquire the proper parts in a timely fashion to repair down customer units. You will also support the needs of customers as it pertains to selling retail parts over the counter and meeting those customer demands.
What you'll do:
Purchase parts form manufacturers and suppliers; acquire parts from other branches as-needed to maintain and replenish inventory
Process external and internal parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed
Advise CES/branch Manager on parts activities, future trends and matters which affect the efficiency of the department regarding customer relations
Develop recommendations of changes to processes or procedures, as necessary to drive tech efficiency and grow the over the counter CES parts business
Maintain current parts manuals, catalogs, literature and price lists for all equipment sold by the company
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
2+ years of retail exposure
Heavy equipment knowledge is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools to increase performance efficiency
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
