The Chinook School Division requires a full-time (1.0 FTE) teacher at Frontier School beginning as soon as possible
.
Duties will be assigned by the Principal based on the candidates skill-set and teaching experience. Frontier School is a K-to-12 school with 140 students and 10 teachers.
The Chinook School Division is proud to serve over 6,000 students in 60 schools, with over 1,000 collegial and student-centered teachers and support staff. Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment;
- A teaching philosophy that reflects a constructivist and cooperative learning approach;
- Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC's, professionals and community service agencies;
- Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
- Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
- Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
- Successful teaching experience or training;
- Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
