Development and Technology Operations duties, including but not limited to
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs across the our proprietary QSuite platform.
• Lead refactoring and modernization efforts with a focus on reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test coverage (unit, integration, load tests) to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate closely with Technology, Product, and Operations teams to design solutions that aligned with business needs.
• Participate in and elevate code reviews, promoting best practices and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior and intermediate developers through guidance, pairing, and technical leadership.
• Contribute to improvements in CI/CD workflows, observability, and infrastructure reliability.
• Other responsibilities as dictated by the needs of Platform Development.

Technologies
• Strong understanding of back-end architecture, API design, system design, and large-scale service development.
• Expertise in Python development using Flask, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and data modeling (MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Experience with big data processing and ETL workflows.
• Containerization proficiency: Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.
• Observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, logging/metrics/tracing fundamentals).
• Experience building in both serverless and traditional server-based compute models (AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2).
• Cloud experience (preferably AWS): S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, IAM.
• Familiarity with Javascript/Typescript and for integration or full-stack collaboration.
• Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK/CloudFormation).
• Security-first mindset with knowledge of secure coding practices, secrets management, and data privacy expectations (SOC2).
• Other needs as dictated by the business.
