The ideal candidate thrives in both hands-on manual testing and automation development.

  • Validate end-to-end workflows and identify usability or functional issues.
  • Reproduce, investigate, and clearly document defects.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to understand expected behavior and verify fixes.

Test Planning & Collaboration

  • Participate in requirements and design discussions to define verification protocols.
  • Analyze specifications to determine test scenarios and both manual and automation coverage.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers to ensure comprehensive testing.

Automation Design & Implementation

  • Identify high-impact areas suitable for automation.
  • Design and implement scalable UI, API, and regression automation.
  • Maintain and enhance automation scripts and framework components.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

Execution, Analysis & Reporting

  • Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and investigate failures.
  • Triage and reproduce reported issues, identifying root-cause patterns.
  • Optimize automation to reduce false positives and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain clear test documentation and report key quality metrics.

Support & Issue Triage

  • Participate in the rotational Level 2 support schedule with QA and Engineering peers.
  • Monitor the designated support channel and triage incoming issues.
  • Validate reported problems through manual testing when needed.
  • Provide timely responses, gather details, reproduce issues, and escalate appropriately to Product or Engineering.

Required skill set & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
  • Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
  • Familiarity with programming script languages including JavaScript and Python.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Accounting knowledge or prior experience in financial/accounting systems, enabling effective validation of business logic and data consistency.
  • Strong experience with Playwright and Jest for building and maintaining robust automated test suites.
  • Familiarity with React to understand UI component structures and ensure accurate front-end testing.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing, including validation of response structures, authentication flows, and error handling.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) for validating data persistence and complex query behaviors.
  • Proven experience in End-to-End (E2E) test automation, from test planning to execution and reporting.
  • Visual component testing experience, including UI snapshot testing and visual regression workflows.
