Rupert Airport.
The idea candidate will be a self starter requiring little direction, who enjoys working with a team of airport professionals, is experienced in the use of heavy equipment and is willing to perform winter and summer runway maintenance, grounds and road maintenance, fuelling aircraft, providing services to itinerant general aviation aircraft, performing safety and security duties at the airport, general maintenance of buildings and equipment and light janitorial duties.
Selection Criteria and Required Qualifications include:
Education & Communication
- Secondary level, Grade 12 or higher
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven attendance, reliability, and professionalism
Licenses & Permits
- BC Driver's License Class 5 with airbrake endorsement
- Preference will be given to Class 3; must provide a recent driver's abstract
- Ability to obtain and maintain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identification Card)
- AVOP (Airport Vehicle Operator Permit) or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Restricted Radio Permit Aviation or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
Technical & Computer Skills
- Experience using Microsoft Windows and Office with the ability to prepare basic reports
Time Management & Work Ethic
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
Safety & Training
- Participate in Airport Safety and Security initial and recurrent training provided by the airport
- WHMIS, First Aid/CPR certification
Time Management & Work Ethic

- Must have availability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to perform manual labour (lifting, pushing, shovelling snow or sand as required)
Specialized Skills
- Safe fuel handling practices and training
- Aircraft fuelling experience considered an asset

- Competitive hourly wage starting from $32.06 – $38.72 with overtime opportunities

- 40-hour full-time union position, 8.0 hours per day, Saturday – Wednesday
