About the Opportunity:
Working with the Edmonton team, you will be responsible for job-specific budgeting, model and option database maintenance and development and assisting the production team. This role requires strong initiative, problem solving skills and personal accountability to ensure work is completed with minimal oversight.
What You'll Do
- Assists in the solicitation of trades regarding bid invitations, pricing, addenda, and tender/bid closings
- Performs quantity take-offs for all areas of the estimate while ensuring the take-off is well notated for hand-over to the Project Manager
- Analyzes plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects, performs complete estimates
- Interfaces and communicates effectively (written and oral) with the production team, and develops business relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing within estimates
- Analyzes plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to ensure accuracy of P.O.'s prior to Job Release
- Applies knowledge and skills through the handling of complex problems and shares expertise with the production team in an ongoing effort to develop, recommend revisions and implement procedures, standards, rules and regulations

Our 'Must Haves'
- Minimum Highschool Diploma/Equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience working in the residential construction industry.
- Experience working in a collaborative, independent, high-performance team environment
Bonus Points
- Experience with MS Excel, Precision, Hyphen and/or Homefront
