Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, with a focus on fresh produce, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of products, managing staff, and driving sales while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the produce team to ensure efficient operations and high standards of quality.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of fresh produce.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue and meet sales targets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the produce department in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular assessments of sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within the produce sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
