Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Arborist Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will meet with clients, assess tree health and site conditions, provide professional recommendations, and prepare accurate estimates for proposed work. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and confident in a sales-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site tree and property assessments for residential and commercial clients
  • Identify tree species, structural concerns, pests, and diseases
  • Provide expert recommendations aligned with ISA best management practices
  • Prepare clear, accurate quotes and work scopes
  • Communicate proposed work and pricing to clients in a professional and approachable manner
  • Follow up on open estimates and support clients through decision-making process
  • Collaborate with operations staff to ensure accurate job scheduling and execution
  • Maintain detailed records of site visits, recommendations, and client communication

Required Qualifications

  • ISA Certified Arborist (required)
  • TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) (considered an asset)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in arboriculture, landscaping, or related fields but not required.
  • Strong understanding of arboricultural best practices and local tree species
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and professionally in the field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as a climbing arborist or bucket operator
  • Knowledge of tree care equipment and jobsite safety protocols
  • Experience working with Jobber/Quickbooks is an asset

Pay Rate

  • Base salary of $45,000 - $70,000 per year depending on certifications, skill level and experience
  • Unlimited performance based commission structure paid monthly.
