Tree Trimmer

**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) or Certified Utility Arborist(CUA) to join our consulting team. As a Consultant with IVM you will be responsible for supervising and training apprentices in the vegetation management field, directly supervising them as the y pruning or remove trees to ensure that utility have safe clearances from tree to powerlines as well as helping with system reliability.

**Duties**:

- Directly supervise and train apprentices to prune trees and remove trees using proper tools and techniques and safety procedures.
- Supervise apprentices to set up and Operate bucket trucks for utility pruning.
- Utilize GIS technology for mapping tree locations
- supervise and train apprentices to Rig trees for safe removal when necessary
- Your duties are to train new apprentices the right way and remove any bad habits. This would include proper chainsaw operation, proper rigging, proper bucket truck set up and inspection. Proper maintenance of insulated booms and insulated tools. safe chipper operation.

**Skills**:

- Certified Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) or certified Utility Arborist (CUA) or equivalent Proficiency in bucket truck operation for tree trimming and removal
- Familiarity with GIS technology for tree location mapping
- Experience in working with and leading people.
- Ability to rig trees securely and safely for removal
- Competence in bucket operation and Bucket Rescue
- Competence in tree climbing and tree climbing rescue.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Spruce Grove, AB T7X 0J7
