Job Title:
ACI Engineer (Cisco ACI / Network Automation)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled
ACI Engineer
to design, implement, and manage Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solutions in our data center and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, network automation, and SDN (Software Defined Networking), with a strong focus on network reliability, scalability, and security.

The role requires working closely with network, cloud, and security teams to optimize application performance, implement automation, and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain
    Cisco ACI fabric
    (spine/leaf architecture) and ACI policies.
  • Configure and manage
    APIC controllers
    , tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, contracts, and filters.
  • Implement network automation using
    Python, Ansible, Terraform
    , or Cisco ACI APIs.
  • Monitor ACI environment, troubleshoot network and application issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams for network design alignment.
  • Integrate ACI with virtualization platforms (VMware NSX, vSphere) and cloud networks.
  • Maintain documentation, network diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of ACI components.
  • Ensure compliance with network security standards and governance policies.
  • Participate in network design reviews, architecture discussions, and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Cisco ACI
    , including APIC, fabric policies, and tenants.
  • Knowledge of
    SDN principles
    , VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and L3/L2 network protocols.
  • Experience with
    network automation and scripting
    (Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST API).
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with
    network monitoring tools
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cloud networking
    (Azure, AWS, or hybrid setups) is a plus.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Data Center (CCNP DC)
  • Cisco ACI Specialist
    or
    Cisco ACI Implementation Specialist
  • CCIE Data Center
    (optional, advanced)
  • Network automation certifications (Python, Ansible, DevNet Associate/Professional)

Experience:

  • Minimum
    3-5 years
    of experience in enterprise networking.
  • Minimum
    2 years
    hands-on experience with
    Cisco ACI deployments
    in production.
