About Our Client

We are seeking an experienced Director, Investor Relations & M&A to join our client on a 15–18-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of capital raises and M&A activity.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong transaction execution experience to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team.

About the Opportunity

  • Transaction Execution: Support and lead day-to-day execution of M&A transactions, including preparing confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and financial analyses.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models to assess valuation, accretion/dilution, and transaction scenarios.
  • Market & Industry Analysis: Conduct detailed company, industry, and market research to support deal origination and execution.
  • Presentation Development: Prepare high-quality presentation materials for client pitches, board presentations, and internal approvals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal legal, compliance, and credit teams, as well as external advisors (legal, accounting, tax) to ensure smooth transaction execution.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and oversight to analysts and interns, supporting their development and ensuring accuracy in deliverables.

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA designation, or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory (Big 4 or boutique experience acceptable).

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comparables).
  • Familiarity with deal documentation and due diligence processes.
