Department: Food & Beverage – Bru 327 Café

Location: Holiday Inn

Reports To: Food & Beverage Team leader/ Department Manager

Status: Part-Time / Full-Time hours (as applicable)

About Us

Bru 327 is the welcoming, modern café located inside the Holiday Inn. We provide high-quality coffee, specialty beverages, and light food offerings to hotel guests and local visitors. We are also home to the Holiday Inn Social Hour, an evening hospitality experience designed to help guests unwind and connect. We are looking for a friendly, skilled, and customer-focused Barista to join our team and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Job Summary

As a Barista at Bru 327, you will prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, provide menu guidance, take accurate orders, and ensure a clean and inviting café environment. You will also play a key role during Social Hour, assisting with beverage service and guest engagement. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests to Bru 327
  • Provide drink menus and answer questions about ingredients and preparation
  • Prepare specialty coffees, teas, and other beverages according to standardized recipes
  • Serve pastries and light food items
  • Handle payments accurately (cash, credit, room charge)
  • Maintain a clean and organized café area
  • Restock cups, plates, utensils, and supplies
  • Ensure brewing equipment is functioning properly, report maintenance needs
  • Assist with Social Hour by serving beverages and creating a warm, social environment
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate guest feedback to management

Requirements

  • Previous Barista or café/restaurant experience
  • Smart Serve certification (required)
  • Experience with coffee/espresso machines and brewing equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and Social Hour
  • Basic math skills for payment processing
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
